i have heard good things about wordpress.
BOTH of them are cool, but i think tumblr is safer, because is mostly used for visual stuff so I think its not an usual place for our beloved WEB SHERIFF to sniff around...

I'm a big fan of WordPress (the self-hosted version). You can get a domain/hosting for < $5/month with enough space and bandwidth to host all the files yourself too
